About Teqball

Teqball is an innovative international group with operations in Budapest, Dublin, Los Angeles and Shanghai. The local team

Seated in Budapest, Teqball Kft. is providing a wide range of global business support services to our affiliates while also driving the production and distribution of the products mentioned above.

The Legal team is responsible for providing legal support, guidance and advice to implement good practices to the entire corporate group, including the international federations governing our TEQ™ sports (Teqball – International Federation of Teqball, Table Volleyball – International Table Volleyball Federation).


The position

We are looking for a Legal Counsel to join our high performing and ambitious in-house legal team.

Reporting to the Legal Director of the Teqball Group, the position requires provision of legal support on all legal issues arising from our operations from commercial, compliance and sports law perspective.



  • Commercial and contractual support:  providing legal advice to the various departments (i.e. production, logistics, etc.) and internal support functions such as procurement, finance, HR, IT, marketing and the opportunity to be the legal lead on high-level projects; advising on, preparing, negotiating, reviewing agreements.
  • Regulatory compliance:  Contentious and non-contentious, such as providing legal input on compliance and regulatory matters and responding to regulatory inquiries; reviewing and advising on internal policies and systems.
  • Sports law: Providing legal support on various sports-related legal matters in connection with the operation of FITEQ, ITVF, their members and affiliates.
  • Claims management / dispute resolution:  advising and handling claims including amicable settlement of disputes, actively managing the handling of claims by external lawyers / providers;
  • Data Protection: Supporting the group’s compliance with applicable data protection laws, including advising on contractual obligations, data subjects’ requests, impact assessments, conducting data mapping, preparing privacy notices and policies.
  • Supporting the team’s junior members in their work.

  • JD obtained in a Hungarian law school;
  • At least 3 years of post-qualification experience - Gained either in a reputable law firm and/or in- house with civil law and/or commercial focus;
  • Native Hungarian speaker with fluent English skills.



  • Knowledge of other foreign languages;
  • Experience and/or interest in manufacturing products and sports law.
