Topic
In today’s interconnected legal landscape, many professionals are seeking to build successful international careers by expanding their horizons beyond their home countries. But what does it really take to transition from a Central and Eastern European (CEE) legal market to a career in Western Europe?
This session will delve into the realities of taking your law degree abroad, offering practical insights into the legal, professional, and cultural challenges involved. Our panelists—legal professionals who have successfully made the move—will share their personal experiences, discuss the obstacles they faced, and provide strategies for navigating foreign legal systems, integrating into new professional environments, and standing out in a highly competitive global market.
Topics will include key factors to consider when evaluating potential destinations, securing job opportunities abroad, understanding qualification and licensing requirements across different jurisdictions, adapting to diverse legal cultures, and leveraging professional networks to access new career opportunities. Panelists will also discuss the personal aspects of relocating, from adjusting to new workplace dynamics to overcoming language barriers and building a strong professional reputation in an unfamiliar legal environment.
Whether you’re considering a move or are already on your international career path, this session will equip you with the knowledge and inspiration to take the next step with confidence.
