The role
We are looking for a Client Development Manager to drive revenue growth and ensure long-term client success in the legal sector.
This is a hybrid role that blends business development, account management, and customer success. You’ll be responsible for acquiring new clients, managing the full sales cycle, and ensuring existing customers get maximum value from Clausepilot.
As an early hire in a high-growth startup, this role offers exceptional scope for impact, autonomy, and career growth.
You will be responsible for building our market presence, conducting compelling product demonstrations, managing the sales process from initial contact through closure, and making sure clients get the most value from our platform post-purchase.
As a key member of our growing team, you'll have the opportunity to directly impact our success while working in a flexible, remote-first environment.
What You’ll do
a) Business development & sales
- Identify and pursue new opportunities within the legal ecosystem (law firms, corporate legal teams, legal tech networks).
- Lead discovery calls to understand potential clients' needs and pain points
- Conduct engaging product demonstrations that effectively communicate Clausepilot's value proposition to prospects
- Build market presence by managing outreach campaigns, digital channels, and attending select legal industry events.
- Create and execute targeted campaigns to generate qualified leads in the legal sector
- Own the full sales cycle: prospecting → negotiation → closing deals, working toward ambitious growth targets
b) Account management & client success
- Onboard new clients, ensuring smooth, full adoption and measurable ROI.
- Develop and implement client success plans and deliver training sessions for client teams, to maximize platform utilization and client value
- Act as a trusted advisor, gathering feedback and sharing best practices.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in client organizations
- Identify opportunities for upselling, cross-selling, and account expansion.
- Collect and synthesize client feedback to inform product development priorities. Serve as the client’s voice internally, shaping product priorities.
What we’re looking for
- 5+ years of experience in client development, sales, business development, account management, or customer success (B2B SaaS or professional services preferred)
- Strong understanding of the legal industry and legal workflows, prior experience working in the legal sector is a huge plus, but not a must-have (law firm, legal tech, in-house legal, consultancy).
- An extensive personal network in the legal sector is a big advantage
- Proven track record of building relationships and closing complex deals
- Excellent presentation and demonstration skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical audiences
- Experience with remote selling, virtual relationship building, and using automation and agentic tools is a big plus
- Self-motivated with the proven ability to work independently in a fast-paced startup environment
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- CRM fluency and comfort with digital sales tools
- Fluent in English plus one or more European languages
