Sylvania Group, a multinational lighting manufacturer and distributor, is looking for a lawyer for the position of Corporate Counsel, based in the Budapest Corporate Shared Service Centre, reporting to the Head of Legal, to support the global business teams of the corporation in this junior to mid-level in-house associate role.

Key Responsibilities
- Coordination of corporate matters of operating and holding legal entities worldwide with global and regional managers, and the contact persons of the shareholder
- Maintaining various records of legal entities worldwide
- Supporting legal entity management (especially corporate housekeeping and financial statement approvals)
- Supporting corporate audits
- Liaising with external legal advisors
- Overseeing the legal approval management systems
- Preparing general corporate-law documents (BOD meeting minutes, shareholder decisions, POAs etc)
- Drafting and approving corporate-related agreements (inter-company loan, services, rental etc.) and non-disclosure agreements
- Arranging for or holding certain trainings for employees
Person specification and background
- Degree in law: J.D. or equivalent
- 1-5 years’ experience as a lawyer
- Fluent English and Hungarian
- Working IT skills (Excel, PPT etc.)
- Ability to work under intense pressure
- Legal administration or corporate-law experience
- Interested in corporate legal administration
